Permits And Setback Information
Since requirements vary from city to city it is the homeowners responsibility to check with their local Building Departments for specific information and obtaining building permits if required. Generally in the Niagara Region you must be 2' off the property line, although we do not require proof of permits to erect a shed. The exact location of the floor must be approved by the homeowner before the walls are erected. We will not be held responsible for moving a unit once it is installed.
Choosing A Site
It is critical that the chosen site be checked for grade, moisture build-up, drainage, municipal bylaws, roof height as well as ground space. Heights range from 7' to 10' on standard units. Roof shingles are installed on site, therefore space must be allowed for our men to work on the roof and around the perimeter. When measuring keep in mind that there are soffit overhangs front and back on all models. At the base, the walls overlap the floor, so add 4" to the length and width when measuring as well. (Example: 8 X 10 sheds will measure 8'4" X 10'4" at the base.)
PLEASE NOTE:
Customers with sprinkler systems should have the heads adjusted so that the unit is not subjected to constant spray. Trees, shrubs, roots and other obstructions must be removed by the homeowner PRIOR to delivery.
Product Warranty
With proper maintenance, Eastwoood Garden Sheds warrantees against structural failure or material defect for 10 years from date of purchase.
This warranty does not cover the natural characteristics of the wood such as knots, small cracks or splinters, expansion and contraction of lumber due to moisture or minor grain traits, fire, flood, windstorms, doors or windows, damage due to misuse, accident, neglect or any building used to house livestock or that has been altered in any way. This warranty does not extend to color change due to normal weathering. Eastwood Garden Sheds gives no other guarantee expressed or implied, either written or verbal.
