     Installing The Shed

All Eastwood Garden structures are built and assembled on site by our craftsmen. We do not need to remove your fence or drive our trucks over your lawn. As long as you have clearly designated the site and approved the floor placement, you do not even need to be there.
We pride ourselves on delivering on the date promised. However, we reserve the right to change a scheduled delivery date due to weather conditions. We are also available to remove your old shed.

Leveling the Foundation

     Preparing And Leveling The Site

Prices of all units include installation on Level Ground. The Area must be checked with a level and graded accordingly. If you find that the area is out of level by more than 5", grading and/or additional materials may be required, and may incur additional charges.
A level foundation or concrete pad is the key to building any strucure successfully. If your floor is not level, measurements will start to get out of whack the closer you get to the roof. We offer a leveling service for those who do not wish to do it themselves, and for cases where you may have no choice but to install a unit on a slope. We generally build our floors on patio stones; like the two diagrams on your right, however a concrete pad, sonotube, concrete footings, cinder blocks or super spikes may be used in cases where the ground is uneven or slopes.

Leveling the floor Foundation

Patio Stone Foundation

The most common method is to use patio stones to support the wooden floor. The 18" X 18" patio stones are typically positioned so that the 2 X 4 pressure treated runners will sit on top of them, the floor is placed on the stones and leveled with shims or blocks, like the photograph on your left.

     Concrete Pad

This type of foundation is recommended if your shed is to be used to house a gas pool heater that should not sit directly on a wood floor. In this instance, the floor is omitted and the walls are mounted directly to the concrete. To provide extra protection against moisture build up, we use a preasure treated bottom plate instead of the usual spruce material. If you're going to install conduits for the electrical service or plumbing, you must do so at least 4" from the edge of the pad so that the walls will have room to sit. The size of the pad should be equivalent to the outside measurement of the shed. (For example, on a 8' X 12' model the poured pad should be 8' X 12' feet as well). Our siding is designed to overhang the bottom plate of the walls.

Framing Your Shed

When you have chosen to order your shed, before you do, it is important that you decide where you would most like to position your shed. You may want to also consider if you will be requiring any additional inside walls, shelving etc..

All materials are of good quality. For more information on some of the standard materials we do use, just  Click Here
